Pamela Kogen works from her studio in the East Village of Manhattan, where the latest trends in contemporary culture and fashion parade by. Kogen says her illustrations are inspired by consumer culture and the inherent humor therein.
Kogen graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York where she studied painting and art history. She supported her painting by working as a wardrobe and prop stylist for leading fashion houses, publications and advertising agencies. An extended trip to Europe influenced her decision to work in illustration.
Pamela's work is published in fashion and lifestyle books and magazines. She exhibits in New York City galleries and illustrates advertising and product packaging for the fashion and cosmetic industries and national department stores.
When they aren't sailing, Pamela and her husband live in Manhattan with their two dogs.
