Home to Abigail Phang has always been Wembley, England. It was here in northwest London that she spent her formative years with her parents and three sisters. From a young age, she enjoyed arts and crafts projects. However, she admits to becoming "hooked" on creating art at age 15 during a school course in printmaking.
Abigail's interest in printmaking grew steadily. Upon attending two inspiring textile exhibitions in London in the early 1980's, she enrolled in a textiles course at the City and Guilds of London Art School. Further study followed in Manchester, England, where she obtained a three-year degree in textiles and fashion.
A professional designer for 13 years, today Abigail constantly observes, watches trends and follows fashions to remain fresh in her art. "The style, medium and technique of my art changes constantly, depending upon my mood and inspiration," Abigail says, "but my favorite medium is gouache or acrylic on paper." She loves working with creative people and learning something new everyday.
Abigail shows her art worldwide at commercial exhibits.
