"The first thing you do is train your eye to see well," says artist John Hagen. "Then your hand needs to accurately translate what you see."
Hagen accurately translates his world into luminous portraits and landscapes that seem to come to life. Many of his paintings appear in the most impressive private collections in the United States.
John is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. He trained under the tutelage of Stephen Gjertson in Minneapolis, where he studied the Boston school of artists: Benson, Bunker and Tarbell.
